16oz can from The Handlebar. Hazy yellow pour, thin, silky layer of white head. Faint grapefruity aroma, bready. Taste is mellow, some citrus up front, grapefruit and lemon, mildly dry.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very haze, almost milky yellow orange with a two finger, fine white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and dank hops, orange and mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus, dank and lightly piney hops, orange and grapefruit rind, mild mixed tropical fruit, light pine. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. Flavor is a little more intense and bitter at first than a typical hazy IPA, but the flavors taper off a bit into the finish with the softer taste standard to the the style. Fortunately has a nice residual citrus rind and lightly dank bitterness in the finish. Good herbal hop flavors to start tapering off a bit into a more substantial hoppy finish. I still don't get these ddh IPAs, but this one rewarded me with bitterness, so I'm quite pleased with it. An auspicious start for this new brewery (new at least as their first canned brew).
