thanks to my friend for sharing this, a really solid ipa from these guys, the hops are so forward and poppy, yet there is no green or vegetal bite to this, i could swear its cryo hops making it explode like this, but could just be good technique. i love the name and the art, and what they have done with these hops! cloudy but still sunny, hazy but not real thick, some light coming in and a low glow to it under a creamy inch of lasting and lacy white head. the nose and taste here hit with pine up front, simcoe for sure, zested pink grapefruit, gin botanicals, and high alpha resinous dankness, really northwestern and woodsy, some pineapple candy, herbal tea, and faint coconut flesh all in the mix too, some mandarin orange as it warms, grapey sativa, light spiciness, and green grape too, lots going on in the hop profile for being familiar varietals for the most part, and it seems somehow complex in its simplicity. the grain is on the dry side, fluffy feeling and not at all heavy from the haze, while the ferment is neutral but serves to enhance the juiciness of this on the swallow. tidy as these go, especially for being this intense, love the fruit and pine characteristics together, and actually found this distinct in this style space with an almost candied mid palate intensity and a really clean back end. pungent and a little bitter too which i like in the style. really well done. stoked on fast fashion right now, more than just a marketing ploy, they are producing some splendid beers!
