was sick to check out their queen anne location and have a few quick ones with the legends, lots and lots of hops on the menu, and although they had some other styles, i stayed true to what they are known for, and this was a real treat, done with anchovy hops and nelson kief, way cool. i was surprised to see this one pour a little clearer, and actually is a little more delicate to drink than i expected too, bright and fresh, super distinctive with these hops, never smelled or tasted a beer quite like it, but its not a bruiser, much appreciated! golden blonde from the tap with an inch plus of real airy wispy white head, some shine, and big bubbles racing up. the nose is juicy and drips with things like lychee, white peach, sauvignon blanc, and elderflower, springy and vibrant with a real light malt backing, pils-esque there, dry to me, and with some real cool up front intensity from the nelson product, sweet orange and green melon as it warms, a little grassy, very fresh. the flavor is real bright, and with an almost lager quickness and crispness, still some resinous hops in the middle, up front tangerine and meyer lemon, middle lemongrass and white currant, later on its green tea, honeysuckle, and honeydew, juicy but dry, definitely white wine notes too, the nelson is distinctive in here, the freshness is epic, well carbonated, easy down, a neat smoothness to it. very modern and repeatable ipa here, this is at the cutting edge i reckon, real good.
