this is astoundingly good, among the best ive had from these guys, but somewhat expected, like this is supposed to be what theyre awesome at right? well, yup. among the best hoppy beers ive had all year so far, unique too, very impressive. on tap at treefort, possibly an exclusive beer for the event, super cool. the abv was listed at 6.8% there, so not sure whats up with the posted abv. anchovy hops leading the way, a super cool expression of them, as they always seem to be with so many others, this might be a little better showcase of their uniqueness, its super high intensity but also without any vegetal character, harshness, or even really bitterness, so neat that they have it turned up this high without all that, and still a beer i want to drink a bunch of, hope it comes around again at some point or that its still pouring somewhere, i would seek this out for real. nice and hazy and frothy, creamy thick white head here with excellent retention, each sip pulls through the lather. aroma is tight when frosty cold of course, but notes of ripe peach, matcha, vanilla bean, and tangerine or marmalade or something are all there, starchy pale grain, maybe some unmalted wheat, this is balanced without being malty as such, wafts of mango and honey, oranges and cream, and maybe a little pineapple too, super fresh and majorly unique with how it hits the nostrils, and its even better to drink, what a fabulous hop complexion, especially if its all from one varietal, which i cannot confirm, but either way, the anchovy is certainly whats making this exciting and popping it off, trace coconut, orange florals, clover flowers too, hay and straw and like earthy porridge on the grain side, some weedy fruitiness without traditional dankness, its very modern, white peach at the end, some sweetness carrying it past the swallow, oils from the hops linger a bit, but each sip begs for another one, it warms up well and opens a lot, and the level of interest stays high the entire drink, what a wonderful specimen. massively unique, creamy and fuller feeling without being filling or limiting, and at peak freshness too for sure. elite quality hazy, the kind of beer that keeps my faith in the style alive and well, pure glory!

Half pour at Alefort. Hazy yellow pour, skin of white foam. Aroma is orange and vanilla, with some milky notes. Taste brings some zesty citrus, orange soda and vanilla
