Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on the can that I can see.
Appearance: rich amber-orange hue with a clear body and a thick head of frothy darkish-ivory foam. Lovely!
Smell: just a lovely, balanced blend of sweet, toast, biscuit, caramel and hops. I really like this one.
Taste: moderately sweet with a nice caramel and slightly bready flavor. Bitterness is low and there’s a kind of light floral note to the hops. This is a damn tasty amber lager.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and decent creaminess.
Overall: this is right up there with the best Vienna lagers and Czech amber lagers. I am not always a fan of American amber lagers, ans they can often be too biscuity or have a harsh bitterness, but this one strikes a great balance and it really comes together well.
