750 ml bottle, 5/25/21 written on the label. Purchased at the brewery a couple months ago. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like roasted malt, coffee, cinnamon, cocoa nibs, chile de árbol and vanilla. I think the taste is pretty much like the aroma, but there's also the addition of some burnt/charred malt and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Also has a good lingering spicy kick to it! Chile heat stands out, but it doesn't overpower the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's rich and a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. Sure doesn't seem like it's 14.5% when drinking it. I liked this one a lot, definitely worth trying if you get the chance to especially if you like chile pepper stouts and brews!
