Tap pour at the brewery.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Thin white head. Leaves behind big strings of lacing.
Aroma of toasted malts, and a smidgen of spicy hops.
Taste is slightly sweet with the correct sulfur bite.
Medium mouth feel. Crisp and clean finish. Very good carbonation.
Tasty and thirst quenching.

At the tap room, they label it as a “American pilsner,” but since it is clearly different from their Czech pils, I’m putting it down as a German. Pours a clear yellow gold,, minimal retention but good lacing. On the nose I get some some grain and bready pilsner malt, but it comes in unintegrated parts. Same kind of goes for the taste. Mouthful is pretty substantial and full for the abv. Doesn’t come to a clean, sharp or crisp point…more like a keller in that respect, but with yeasty and kind of woody/grassy instead of fruity notes. Not bad, but nowhere near the level of their neipas.
