I tried a 4oz pour of this beer off the tapper at the downtown Minneapolis location whilst in town for a trade expo. It poured a clear copper with white head that left some lace. The scent had citrus fruit and pine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with subtle pine resin and bitter citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

At the tap room, into a nonic. Pours a very clear clover honey, minimal head and lacing. Nose promises some hoppy and slightly sweet citrus and floral notes. Taste brings the lemon/lime I often get from cashmere out prominently, as well as some lychee and gooseberry notes; at the end, there’s some nice modest bitterness. Malt is fairly light and unobtrusive (and doesn’t have the caramel I look for in the sub-style).
Kind of light, clean and refreshing. It’s a solid beer, taken on its own. I don’t know if it really fits the WC ipa style parameters, and it isn’t as good as their neipas, though that is a high bar.
