A light beige head is tight and short lived after reaching only one half inch. The beer itself is clear, with an old copper glow, while some patches of lace form on a Harp nonic glass.
The aroma is sweet with caramel malt and a light toasted grain. A pleasantly mild floral hops works well with faint, spicy notes.
The flavor has mild bitterness that is excellently balanced against the multi sweetness. A light sulfur touch comes out in the middle and then again in the lengthy finish. Some nuts and lots of mineral flavors come out as it warms.
The slick, smooth texture compliments a medium body and soft carbonation. There is no perceptible alcohol whatsoever.
This is another good, sessionable beer that I enjoyed on a mild summer afternoon. I imagine it would pair well with an intense Havarti cheese.
