No canning date; consumed on 9/18/23
Pours a clear, deep straw-gold body capped with two and a half fingers of sudsy, eggshell-white foam; solid head retention leaves a slight layer of creamy cap, moderate, fluffy collar, and generous walling of splotchy, webby lacing spread around the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with a bready 'pop' accompanied by a soft, malted grain sweetness projecting white toast and hints of white pepper; taut straw accents complemeny an airy yeast profile underscoring as ripe grassiness touches the back end of the bouquet.
Taste brings an airy yeast profile upfront, with straw and spritzy minerality residuals lingering as mossy undertones feed sun-dried grass on the back end while a touch of florality marks the finish.
Mouthfeel shows a light body and a rounded fluff of higher-end carbonation, leaving taut, crisp textures setting a tone for delicate yet stiff, herbal bittering wavering through the back end, drying persistently to a clean finish.
A compact display projecting a soft yeast substructure beneath waves of crisp breadiness and a quaint florality; highly satisfying at such a low ABV.

Poured on 10/2/2022 from a 16oz can into a snifter glass.
A: The beer is a bright pale yellow color, with a large white head that fades quickly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains lager yeast, light caramelized malts and a good amount of grassy hops for the style.
T: The taste likewise starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a light malt character. Then some malt sweetness quickly follows along with a burst of lemon flavor. There is a significant grassy hops bitterness that is slightly strong for the style creating a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Smooth and very crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean and dry.
O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not filling at all, very mild kick, good representation of style. This is a good mild beer to drink for a long time if you’re in the mood for the style.

Back with more beer from Origin, we have another can that I picked up when I stopped in yesterday. This one is pretty basic, but Czech Lagers can be really fun, and this one was lagered in oak. Let’s get into it
Pours a pale straw with a finger of white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
This is bright and clean in the nose, but the oak adds a nice touch. I’m picking up on aromas of bready malt, white pepper, toasted grain, fresh oak, herbal hops, light honey, and pithy grapefruit
As predicted from the abv and aroma, this is super clean in taste. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting crackery malt, lemon zest, white pepper, toasted grain, earthy hops, and light honey. The swallow brings notes of white pepper, herbal hops, crackery malt, lemon zest, and straw
A light body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp and lightly spicy beer. Finishes mostly dry but balanced
Another solid Origin beer that’s super easy drinking. Not Notch level of good Lager, but still enjoyable
