500ml bottle served in a tulip. Pours a dull, light orange hue with a slight haze to the clarity. A fizzy, off-white head quickly disperses towards the shoulders of the glass. Nose expresses tart, fruity notes, almost reminiscent of smarties candy. Taste follows nose - strawberry character is muted and a light, yeasty quality comes out at the back; however the finish is fairly clean. Mouthfeel is light in body with a pleasant astringency that tickles the back of the throat between quaffs. Overall, nicely crafted and refreshing. That said, I wish I hadn’t sat on the bottle for so long. I’ll need to revisit with a fresher bottle to determine if the strawberry character is more prevalent.
