Nice, I'm once again writing the first review for a beer on BA. I often wonder about the sociopaths who just add a beer without reviewing it. Anyways, awesome Tom Petty reference going on here.
Poured during the Brewers playoff run into an old Brewers pint glass from that ugly logo (94-99). Can tell the game is on, can't tell which one. Looks like Burnes is pitching. Pours golden yellow with respectable clarity and a full 1" of white head, small bubbles, good retention. Dare I talk about perfection? The aroma doesn't live up the appearance, mild hop notes of mostly Citra, but enough Mosaic to divy up the fruity notes away from the citrus and minorly into the tropical realm.
Taste brings the hop bill full circle as now Simcoe seems to be doing its thing. Bitter pine takes over as the prominent one, but it doesn't eliminate the other hops entirely as there is still that light orange and guava aspect. Simcoe does good at bringing out those golden waves of grain notes and its done well here. Good dryness and crisp feel to the mouth feel. Like I said, Simcoe doing Simcoe things.
I think this was the first beer I've had from this brewery? Won't hesitate to check 'em out again. Every brewery should have like a half dozen Tom Petty inspired beers.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
