Poured from 16oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. This is a "double IPA with pineapple" according to the label.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderately heavy haze and two fingers of frothy ivory foam atop. Looks good to me!
Smell: fresh, bright hops; I get a lot of melon and a bit of citrus. I wouldn't have guessed pineapple if I wasn't looking for it; perhaps it's coming through more like a citrus instead. Still, I really like this aroma.
Taste: sweet malt base with nicely fruity and tropical hop flavors; again, the pineapple doesn't read as pineapple but as more of a generally tropical fruity character. Bitterness is low, but definitely present, enough to balance the sweetness. I really like this.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer drinks nothing like its 8.5%. It's tropical and fruity, and really quite delightful. This is how fruit should be added to IPAs -- contributing in the background, rather than taking everything over.
