Free Agency started with our Pilsner base malt then layered in malted wheat, flaked wheat, and malted oats, but we increased the percentages of the wheat and oats to make a more full and creamy beer. We hopped it lightly in the kettle with Simcoe in order to provide a small amount of bitterness and give it some citrus and slightly dank hop notes. We used a different variant of our standard London Ale Yeast strain from a new yeast lab to leave some residual sweetness and stone fruit notes. Once fermentation was nearly complete, we dry hopped the beer with El Dorado, El Dorado Lupomax, and HBC 586 hops. The resulting beer is soft and extremely fruit forward with notes of stone fruit, guava, watermelon and strawberry.

16 oz can into a nonick pint glass.
L: SRM 3-4 pours a hazy gold color with low carbo, a thin white head that recedes slowly to edge foam, some sediment chunks, backside perforated sheeting & medium lacing.
S: Melon, citrus, slightly pungent fruits, a hint of white pepper, subtle herbal dankness with warming.
T: A joined fruits, citrus zest, guava, light mango, light melon, stone fruit, it has a lingering bitter note in the finish, distant white pepper, light wheat, oats, caramelization notes vacillate with bitterness.
F: Soft, smooth, semi-juicy medium heavy bodied mouthfeel with a smooth center and a glossy medium length gently drying finish.
O: A dynamic HIPA that is slightly complex and it morphs with some warming. Incredibly enjoyable mouthfeel that creates one of the easiest drinking Hazy IPAs I've had. A good dose of oats I'd say. It is outstanding in its style.
