On tap at Pilot Project
This is my first time at Pilot Project and it’s quite the cool concept; help minority-owned breweries get their footing in the industry. I have some time to kill before my flight home and think I’ll spend most of it here. A Rice Lager sounds like the perfect way to start things off
Pours a mostly clear yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is gentle and sweet, not as bright as I’d like but still damn solid. I’m picking up on aromas of crackery malt, sweet honey, raw grain, grape skin, lemon zest, light grass, and blueberry skin
Oh wow, it’s dialed up in taste, citrusy and bright but still with a gentle floral backing. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon zest, crackery malt, wildflower honey, white tea, grape skin, blueberry, wet hay, and light cereal grain. The swallow brings notes of lemon zest, orange zest, crackery malt, sweet honey, biscuit, grassy hops, white grape, and blueberry skin
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes mostly dry and refreshing
This is a very fun take on the style. Extremely vibrant but still subtle

From Beermiscuous.
Added almost 4 months ago on UnTappd (also as a Japanese rice lager), it has an average of 3.81 from 77 ratings.
I like how Azadi is trying to figure out how to brew better for the Indian culture. Doosra is for refreshment after playing cricket. Instead, I had Doosra tonight at the table with Indian food that included Basmati rice. Paired well enough. And I could sense the same rice in this lager.
I will review Doosra when I have it again... which I hope is soon, albeit not after playing cricket.
