Pint on draft at the brewery. It pours mahogany with dark cola hues and a half finger of creamy, medium-khaki head and lacing. Its nose features brown bread, nuts, and whiffs of chocolate and tobacco. It tastes just as expected: roasted malts with hints of chocolate and cola. The initial sweetness is balanced by an earthy bitterness. The hop bill isn't evident but it finishes with a clean, balanced bitterness. The mouth feel is lite but substantive with pleasant carbonation. The 5% ABV is appropriate and allows for easy drinking without distraction. I drained my glass quickly. Overall, Count Dooku would be proud to have his name associated with such a fine beer. Bull n Bear continues to impress with its ability to release high quality beers of traditional European styles.
