12oz can served in a shaker pint glass. No date on can.
Appearance: Hazy golden yellow, approaching translucent, but you can see some floaters in this beer (hopefully that's lemon bits....). Initial thick sudsy white head died back with some thick strands of persistent lacing.
Smell: Initial pour came across a wheat ale, but once the carbonation and foam settled down, I only get the tiniest hint of lemon.
Taste: Very strong lemon flavor. There is a hint of a beer under all that lemon flavor, with some mild hops and wheat tang, but it's more lemon than anything else. It's good lemon though - not artificial, and not mouth-puckering either, so they tempered it with some beer sweetness or something else.
Mouthfeel: Fizzy, but still has some good thickness underneath. A little sticky.
Overall / Drinkability: Most shandies I've had are lower ABV, and the "soda" part is milder. This one is more potent, a really strong lemon soda with some underlying beer, but the beer sort of gets lost in it all. Seems like something I would enjoy in the summer, and it's unusual to have in the winter, but it still sort of works. One is enough though.

I still find it strange that every beer I've tried from this brewery rarely releases carbon dioxide when you crack open the can. The beer is usually always good and carbonated, but something about their canning process must be different.
