On tap at my neighbor beer bar, Tap East serving the thirst on a Saturday evening at Stratford's Westfield Mall. (Big. LOUD post-football crowd.)

This is a very nice interpretation of the APA, in fact a lot of American micros should take note of how the hops are blended and they modestly let the malt work.

Pale Ale Looks good, nice foam sticks around the glass. Smells are mostly malt, but good hop aromatics in the back of my nose. Tastes are balanced; modest aroma leads to modest attack and, then, by the finish the semi-dry appears. Medium-mouthed at 4.8; also an achievement.

While Newbarns has a very good website for selling beer, they don't say much about themselves. So currently, I can give them only good Overall Hugs. Slainte' !
