Close your eyes; it's time to find A DARK IN THE LIGHT. A first-of-its-kind style for Radiant, we've boldly dipped our toes into the inky waters of the Black IPA. At 6.8%, filled with near-black perfect portions of Strata, Nelson, Citra, and Simcoe, this is a hop-forward, light-backward experience. With a dangerously dark pour, aromas of grapefruit and lemon peel insidiously intertwine with baking chocolate and rye. Further dives into the depths of flavors reveal citrus and melon among a complementary cold brew roastiness. Open your eyes and taste the dark.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Can is dated...I thought it was dated. But I can't find a date on this one. Bought it in California a couple weeks ago.
Pours black, not dense, medium sized head. Head settles into a thick, generous skin that clings fairly high along the side of the glass. Smell is roasty, toffee, and pine. A little coffee, a little plum skin.
Taste is even roastier, more pine and grapefruit resin, some burnt biscuit, some dark toasted pecan.
Mouthfeel is light, clean, smooth. Nice beer.

Undated can; drank 11/4/24 @ the Yarchives.
Brown/black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small tan head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lacing remained.
Orange citrus & faint medium roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Orange rind bitterness & faint coffee flavors.
Tangy & unbalanced; it smelled OK but I wouldn't seek this out again.
