Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Monkish 16-oz. mug
Price: $3.49
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: March 31, 2021
Consumed: April 7, 2021
Misc.: No canned on date
Saw this at Windmill Farms and another version that is a West Coast IPA. I’d generally liked the previous ones I tried so I was in for this one (Mosaic certainly didn’t hurt). Their website called it “Double Dry Hopped Juicy IPA brewed with 100% Mosaic hops.”
Poured a light-to-medium amber murky color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see some bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Mosaic, mango, tangerine, floral, mixed berry, hints of Juicy Fruit and rose petal. A little better out of the can. (Smell - 3.50)
Taste was not as good as I hoped. Got Mosaic, pine, floraly rose petal, mango, bitter tangerine rind and some mixed berry. (Taste - 3.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, dry finish. (Feel - 3.00)
Decent beer overall, but nothing I would need to have again. (Overall - 3.25)
