16oz can. No canning date information found.
Clear, pale gold colored body. One finger of white head quickly recedes to a skim cap and ring. Leaves behind several webs of lacing.
Aroma of hoppy citrus (orange and grapefruit) and resin pine.
Taste has a malt underpinning but the prominent flavors comes from hops - orange, grapefruit, cat piss, and pine. Some bitterness but not long lasting. Citrus and slight pine in the aftertaste.
Not more than medium mouth feel. Minor drying. Good carbonation.
Looks like a West Coast IPA but lacks the real bite of an OG.

Nearly clear yellow amber brew with adequate foam in the St. Bernardus globe. Aromas of pine and citrus with tangerine in the nose. So hoppy the flavors swim before my palate. There's a hint of orange, but more of the dark, dank, and woody taste. Substantial bitter aftertaste. A robust hoppy brew. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea's.

Glass: Firestone 16-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $3.49
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Feb. 26, 2021
Consumed: Feb. 28, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Jan. 19, 2021

Got this and a handful of other beers on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Embolden is a newish brewery and I liked the first one I had before, giving Simply Nectaron a 4.04 on Feb. 13. Not much of a description for this except a “West Coast IPA brewed with Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic hops” which I saw on Untappd. Kind of hard to mess up a beer with those hops.

Poured a medium yellow clear color with five fingers of rocky white head. Lots of slow-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass, looking kind of like a snow globe. Almost perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight – 4.75)

For mentioned hops, got all three right away, in order Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic. Also pine, garlic, cat piss, grapefruit, tangerine rind, papaya, black pepper, floral, grass and orange. About the same from the can with the addition of pineapple and peach. (Smell - 4.00)

Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Definitely a West Coast IPA though. Got heavy Simcoe, pine, black pepper, garlic, onion, grapefruit, Amarillo, tangerine rind, orange, papaya, peach, stone fruit, floral, grass, hints of pineapple, light Mosaic and earthy malt. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)

A very good IPA overall. Glad I picked up one. (Overall - 3.75)
