Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American Brown Ale
Glass: Ball 16-oz. mason jar
Price: $3.49
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 8, 2022
Consumed: Feb. 20, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Abnormal; Canned on Nov. 15, 2021
Went to Windmill Farms for some bread and a 6-pack of Enegren’s The Lightest One, and came back with nine other singles. Untappd called it an “American Brown Ale conditioned on Coffee, Vanilla, and Cacao Nibs.”
Poured a very dark, almost pitch-black color with four fingers of frothy khaki-tan head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Very good spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled espresso, vanilla, toffee, caramel, hints of hazelnut, cacao nibs and hints of semi-char wood. Not quite as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted just about as good as the nose. In order got espresso, vanilla, toffee, caramel, cacao nibs, milk chocolate and hints of hazelnut. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Smooth finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Really liked this one. I’m a sucker for coffee ales and this was a really good one. (Overall - 4.25)

I imagine Santa flying - yeah his fat ass is over the Philippines and is starting to struggle on his journey. So what does Jolly Old Saint Nick do to put things into gear? He smashes an Embolden Java Jolt. Rudolph is no longer a Pinto. He is hauling ass like an Aston Martin.
Hurray! Santa saves Christmas again!
