Went to Windmill Farms for some bread and a 6-pack of Enegren’s The Lightest One, and came back with nine other singles. Would be my fourth single-hop IPA from Embolden, giving Simply Nectaron a 4.04 on Feb. 13, 2021, Simply Mosaic a 3.35 on April 7, 2021 and Simply Nelson a 3.84 on June 20, 2021. Their Facebook just called it “Double-dry-hopped with 100% Strata.”
Poured a medium yellow murky color with three fingers of rocky white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the sides of the glass at different speeds. Almost perfect uneven foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Strata, juicy strawberry, mango, red grapefruit, bubblegum, raspberry and wet grass. Much of the same from the can, maybe not quite as good. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted Strata, juicy strawberry, strawberry ice cream, mango, red grapefruit, bubblegum, raspberry and wet grass. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A pretty good beer overall. Glad I picked up a can. (Overall - 3.75)
