Grabbed a can of this and a bunch of other stuff on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Had a 4-pack of this before during a golf outing, giving it a 3.75 on Untappd and writing “Probably in 3.87-3.92 range.” Time to see if I was right. Online description called it “Double Dry Hopped Juicy IPA brewed with 100% Nelson hops.”
Poured a light golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up the sides of the glass. Perfect layered foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Nelson, melon, hints of gooseberry, herbal, orange rind, body odor and earthy malt. A little better out of the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted Nelson, melon, caramel, gooseberry, orange rind, herbal, onion and earthy malt. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, malty finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A very good beer from Embolden. (Overall - 3.75)
