The Seed: A Living Beer Project "Songs, Like Trees"
on tap at the brewery on 11 August 2024
Notes: Brewed with Nelson Sauvin, Southern Cross, and Kohia Nelson Kief from Freestyle Hops (real passionfruit infused hop extract).
Look: Very hazy golden in color beneath a finger's width of white foam that holds very well and leaves some impressive lacing behind.
Smell: Citrusy, lightly piney, and earthy & spicy over a grainy malt base.
Taste: The malt is sweetish and lightly oaty. Citrusy, berry-like, piney, and earthy and spicy hop notes remain. Median bitterness, and lightly acidic, leaving it mainly dry in the finish.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: Interesting but not compelling. Still worth trying.
