Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a muddy tangerine color with a large, fluffy head of bright white foam and copious soapy lacing. The smell is big, bright, and fruity with lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, and white wine. Its taste is equal to the nose with a huge fruity presence of tart lemon and grapefruit balanced by pineapple, tangerine, and red berry sweetness from the Citra and Krush hops. The Nelson Bliss contributes notes of dry grape. There is low key bitterness throughout and a great dept of bold flavors. This ale has a plush, creamy mouth feel with appropriate carbonation, and it is very easy to drink considering the 8.5% ABV. Overall, this is a delicious, highly drinkable Imperial IPA, which isn't surprising considering the two renowned breweries that conceived and executed it.
