I’m sorry, you want to fucking go where? Oh man, it’s a haul to be sure. I mean, it’s as far from the south end of Jersey as we are from the north end of Jersey, and there’s a lot of real estate in between. I’ll go with you but you’re driving, and so it was. We got out early as the Parkway is so often unkind and traveling before things jam is the only play. And that placed us on their doorstep at opening. In AC with Zolli for his bottle procurement; silly man, stop joining bottle clubs from places afar…
It’s a large warehouse space in a residential neighborhood. I was not expecting that. ‘C’ shaped bar to the left off entering, criss cross slat wood topped, brick face tiled base. Seating for 11 on brown leather chairs. 10 taps from the white subway tile fronted cold box, split 5 & 5. Wood branch handles for 4 & 4 and Lukr’s on the ends. Seed logo piece about the taps, strung baby icicle lighting lining above, and sprawling dangling plants atop off the corners. Glassware shelved below the taps.
Mad high corrugated ceilings, concrete floors, & white cinder block walls with a brick patch off the bar and a roll up door forward. Drop wicker beehive lamps with filaments tracing the bar, fluros up high, and strung filaments amidst a collection of lamps and candle bulb chandeliers to the backside of the floor. Ductwork, and dried flowers & plants hanging from the ceiling in the corner.
A corner cushy set up below vertical tapestries, 6 barrel tables, 2 raised rounds, and a pair of long tables end to end in the rear corner. Brewery to the rear, pallets of cans, kegs, & bottles above the cold room, and barrels racked there (me, pointing). Merch zone, potted plants & barrels, 2 grandfather clocks, a triple wide can cooler, light art, mounted pieces, animal skulls, shelved & hanging plants.
10 beers up, (By Candlelight, English inspired Mild, collab with Forest & Main, 4.9%; Danko, Rye Lager, 5.8%; Within These Walls, Classic Stout, 7.6%; Ancient Practices IV, Vanilla Rye BA Stout, collab with Timber Ales, 13.8%; P.A.L.E., Old School Pale Ale, 5.6%; Mariposa, Fonio Pale Ale, collab with MiLuna, 5.6%; Fully Flavored, DIPA, collab with Oakflower, 8.2%; Growth & Change - Spring, Saison conditioned on calendula, 5.7%; Poetry in Motion B3, Biere de Coupage, 6.2%; Sky Colored Eyes, Saison & Fruit Wine Hybrid with Black Currants, collab with Marlowe, 12.2%), + 2 can pours (Petale, Italian inspired Pilsner, 5%; And Again? Always, English inspired Pale Ale, 6%).
It’s an interesting mix, a sessionable English Mild at one end, a BA pastry Stout at the other end, just as much hoppy as there is farmhouse in between + a few strays, I can live with that. I will sample the wares this day for all who cannot (By Candlelight, English inspired Mild, good malt backbone, toasty, actual fire; Within These Walls, Classic Stout is dark, lovely, chocolate, & roast, a beauty; Danko Rye Lager, oh, it has the D and sadly I have a pint of it, phooey; Sky Colored Eyes, Saison & Fruit Hybrid, a big beer, black currants are lush; Growth & Change - Spring Saison, lightly sour, pithy, with a stern bitterness; P.A.L.E., Old School Pale Ale, really nice, very SNPAlike, a solid pale ale; Poetry in Motion B3 Biere de coupage, a farm Saison of awesome, pear, floral, lightly tart, nice hoppiness). Hard to pick a winner of winners as nearly all the beers were just excellent.
Marktender today, pleasant, knowledgeable, attentive. The place is filling strong as the day gets on. Lots of dogs today, just 1 kid and no, he’s not special. Some well made beers drank today. I could do some serious time here if it weren’t so damn south in the Jersey.

While it doesn't look like much from the outside it's actually quite nice inside. There's a kind of old-timey front room feel to the areas around the bar, including two grandfather clocks, and a more modern wood & industrial feel to the rest. There's no food but there's a good selection of beer including lagers and IPAs as well as more interesting stuff. The quality of the beer can't be questioned, and almost everything I've tasted has been very well done. The service is very good as well, and I highly recommend it.

The Seed is located in an industrial building along the White Horse Pike (Route 30) near the Marina District of Atlantic City. The interior is a blend of typical industrial chic with some nice decorative elements. It's light and airy with a good sized bar and tables. It boasts a great vibe with a large and boisterous crowd of locals and beer nerds. The staff is busy but friendly. The Seed is well-known for the quality and originality of its beer. About the only negative is that the fenced parking area is rather small and on-street parking isn't desirable. This is particularly an issue during the summer season.

stopped by for a few beers on a Sunday afternoon. Clean but boxy industrial looking building in a mostly residential neighborhood in Atlantic City. Inside is a big open room that has a small bar to one side with some surrounding seats and tables. The brewing space takes up the rest of the building. Keeping with the "Seed" theme, there are numerous potted plants throughout the space and hanging from the ceiling. minimalist vibe. They had 10 beers on draft, most available in 5 oz, 14 oz, or 20oz glasses. Good variety of style - lagers, wild ales, saisons, pub ales, hoppy beer. the beers I drank were well executed. The two bartenders were friendly enough.
