Weyermann Brauerei GmbH "Rosemarie's Roggen"
,33l brown glass bottle, "Mindestens haltbar bis: 31.01.2018" and sampled on 25.09.2017
Notes via stream of consciousness: Number 83. Limited Edition. Brewed with Rosemary. Surprisingly golden in color but quite hazy. The foamy bright white head holds well. It has a fairly strong aroma of Rosemary that's pleasant but not normally expected in a beer, and there's also some rye malt in there - very interesting! Oh my! The flavor is basically the same. It's not like Rosemary though, not directly, it's much more floral than herbal. Interesting! - I have to say it again because there's no other word for it. The rye is not as clear as it is in the aroma though. There's some apple-like fruitiness and perhaps some other fruit there as well. It's only lightly spicy from the rye but there's some, and in conjunction with its moderate bitterness it finishes mostly dry and fruity with lingering apple, herb, and light spice. Overall it's well-brewed, superbly balanced, and quite drinkable.
