Served at the end of Weyermann's tour, in their pilot brewery. This was their latest brew when I had it in June 2011. Served into a .3L glass. Reviewed from notes taken June 2011. It was free - like the tour.
A: Pours a three finger head of no cream, quite thin, of tan colour, and of good retention. Colour is a solid black.
Sm: Barley and nuts. Caramel. Pretty dull for a porter.
T: Chocolate, caramel, slight nuts, and a bit of roast. A bit complex, but not horribly so. Balanced but awkward for the style. You can taste the dunkel influence on this porter.
Mf: Wet and smooth. Suits the style but not the flavours.
Dr: Drinkable for its 5.7% ABV. I can't complain about the price, but it's by no means a quality beer.
