500ml swingtop shared at Braustelle on 4/10/2013. Served in a wine glass. Pours slightly lighter than unpasteurized cider with a frothy, half-inch, cream-colored head. Clarity is semi-hazy. Nose is fruity with some medicinal phenols - slightly sharp at the back. Taste consistent with nose, but not really consistent with the style; missing the fruit, bananas, cloves and bubblegum. Quite a bit of hops character with some light, lingering bitterness between quaffs. Mouthfeel is light-medium, but closer to light. Carbonation is even, but body is somewhat watery. Overall, interesting, but a bit off-style and missing the fruity character, with an overemphasis on the hops.
