This arrived at the table with a thin, light brown head. The colour was dark mahogany, but it seemed a little light for a stout. Sweet, malty aroma with just a bit of fruitiness. Mild bitterness with malt sweetness and some dark, grainy chocolate. There's little to no roast in this beer, but fruity cherry character comes out in the finish. Medium bodied. This is more of a brown ale than a stout. Any cherry character is very mild, but it's not a bad beer -- just seems like the recipe didn't come out as expected.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler...
Appears a dark brown with mild red edges when held up to the light. Mild light tan head that quickly fades out.
Smell is of light cherries with mild roastyness, butterscotch, brown sugar, caramel, hops.
Taste is of the same aromas with a mild coffee flavor in the mix.
Mouthfeel is creamy, slightly sweet, mildly thin, along with a bitter dustiness.
