On draft at the Maple Shade 2012 Barrels, Bourbon and Bugs event. Aged in bourbon barrels for 5 months. My least favorite of the barrel aged beers at this event by far.
Pours a clear dark cola brown with a massive, fizzy cream colored head with uncomfortably long retention. Exceptionally sweet nose of caramel and butterscotch and not much else. Other than some mild caramel malt, the bock base is lost in the flavor and replaced with super sweet butterscotch and light bourbon. Medium thick body with fizzy carbonation, watery finish. Didn't finish this sample.
