enjoyed on tap at Hershey location served in a glass.
The color is clear amber with small head no lace collects. The smell has a semi-yeast scented aroma with fruity ester and light sweet scent of malt. The feel is mild with moderately high carbonation and medium body with slight sweet finish.

The taste of malt upfront with light German yeast and a subtle herbal hop flavor with moderately dry finish and no alcohol in the taste. This is a decent lager, good but a light flavor profile too carbonated for my taste. The malt is mild with fruity yeast-generally an ok lager.

 

 

 

It appears they brought this beer back after a long hiatus. Nice enough if unexceptional “Munich style” pale lager.

Light brown/amber body with decent clarity and a finger of slowly settling white head. Good lacing. Aroma is surprisingly roasty and toasted; chewy malt and floral, noble-style hops in good balance.

Lightly roasty malt; a faint chocolaty note; some floral hoppiness. Richer in flavor than expected. Toasted bread, gentle sweetness, dry finish. Hints of spice.

Medium body and carbonation, smooth and creamy, yet crisp and refreshing. Very nice mouthfeel. Seems like they have tweaked and improved upon the recipe judging by the previous reviews.

Did not detect a nose...and weirdly hoppy for a lager. I detected a bitter aftertaste. This beer is classified as a Munich Helles, which I am not familiar. I expected a Lager style, and was confused by the bitter hoppiness. I could not finish the rest of the pint...

I liked this stuff alot.

Very light,golden colored body with a small white ring.Light lacing,dunky smells and taste.German malts and some fruitiness to the smell and taste.Not a clean tasting beer.Light body makes it easy to a have a few.This was a real tasty beer and I enjoyed it alot.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a clear golden color. There was not much of a head on it at all. It left a little lacing. There wasn’t much of an aroma either. What was there was OK. It was fairly typical of a macro, with notes of corn. The taste was half decent, with some malts and hops. A slight step up from your typical macro.

A step up with European ingredients, into a helles. Serviceable lager with good bitterness. Medium yellow and significant lace. Minimal aroma and drying finish. Good balance, though tilting on the bitter side. Drinkable and for the Pennslyvania crowd.

Looks like apple juice but more golden. Pours with barely any head, and just a few bubbles remain. Faint aroma of apples and yeast. The taste is pretty mild too: primarily bitter and somewhat fruity with a bit of a sour aftertaste, and just enough carbonation to notice. It feels thicker and creamier than the clear appearance and mild aroma suggest. Overall, a fine beer to quench your thirst on a hot day, but unremarkable; a stronger smell or a little more carbonation could give it a bigger impact. Strongly-flavored food seems to drown out everything but the bitterness, so drink it alone or with a very light snack.

Poured a light apple juice appearance with head remaining only around the ring of the glass.
Smelled of apples, pears, and nuts.
Initially there was a metallic taste that turned to corn and hops.
It felt light with minimal carbonation as I drank it.
I don’t drink many lagers so it was hard for me to pick out flavors. I thought it was an interesting lager. I’d try it again.

This beer came a bright gold with a touch of orange to its color. The head consisted of an irregular film of white that left behind a few spots of lace.

Smelled of light pasty lager malts and yeast with a little bit of bread dough. There were also hints of tart raspberries and smooth peaches. In the background was a slight woody hop.

Tasted of light and smooth, pasty malts with a surprisingly dry, woody and slightly peppery hop. The hops hung around for a bit but soon faded leaving behind a nutty, malty finish with remnants of the woody hop still lingering around. This flavor was really excellently crafted and seamlessly assembled.

The mouth feel was smooth, light and slick with a light, sparse but noticeable carbonation.

Fantastic! This beer was simply delicious, felt great in my mouth and was just fantastic on a cool summer night. Deliciousness and being effortless to drink is a perfect combination in my book.

This is another basic but still tasty brew that is one of the regulars at Iron Hill Wilmington.

It pours a crisp golden colour with a fluffy white head that is somewhat sticky.

The aroma is a blend of malt, grain, some grassy hops and a basic sweetness that is somewhat floral.

There is a sweet crispness to the flavour at the beginning that is quickly mixed with a bold but not overpowering malt rush that continues through the finish, where the hop flavour moves from sweet to the slight grassy flavour that was picked up in the aroma. There are hints of spice here and there as well.

Again, this is one of the basic regular at Iron Hill. I enjoy the regular ales a bit more than this one but it is nothing to scoff at and should make for a nice warm weather session brew.

Served as a bright yellow beer with bountious white head. Moderate attractive lacing. Smell is mildly seet and crisp. Taste is crisp and refreshing with an ejoyable carbonated mouthfeel. Finish presenst mouth of the mouth crispness and is a pleasant ending fot the beer. Very drinkable. Note: I felt the beer was served a bit too warm, and that having it colder would have improved the taste.

Appears bright golden crystal clear nice sized white head leaves behind even lacing. Aroma some Saaz upfront grassy herbal tones with a crisp all grain sweetness here nice delicate lager. Taste comes with an upfront sweetness clean overall with a mild bitterness and welcomed Saaz finish. Mouthfeel is light bodied evenly carbonated smooth texture on the palate. Drinkability to me this is the session I would definitely reach for if drinking on a hot summer day good helles a bit sweet but has enough hops to balance it out.

Poured a warm, golden hue with a thin white head of tight foam that clung stubborningly long and lacy. Nose was similiar to the Light Lager, but deeper with some florals.

Its richer than the Light Lager, more malt on the tongue and pallete, smooth, hints of clover and spring, with a light hop peak at the throat. A nice, safe lager that would probably go great with a variety of foods or be a good beer to introduce people to craft styles. I'd drink it again.

On tap at Iron Hill, North Wales, PA

Beer appears deep straw in glass with one inch dense white head. Beer offers lively nose of delicate noble hopps mixed with biscuit and bread notes. Also detected--very slight estery notes and grass, and traces of cannned corn.

Flavor profile is excellent for a Helles Lager, bready malt notes meet with subtle hopping to provide excellent balance. Finish is sweet. The hint of water salts and esters add slightly to the well-composed palate. Mouthfeel is slightly full, in keeping with the style.

A full-bodied, malty beer that appeals to those who appreciate German beer styles. Not too assertive to alienate the the macro fan, but something to savor and enjoy with dinner. A good crossover beer. Surprisingly likable.

Dark golden with a nice head of foam. Aromas are very "classic" indeed. Nice german hops and malts dance in a perfect unison. The aromas kind of remind me of a Helles lager. The taste is nice and crisp up front, and malty in the middle with a crisp, yet subtle, hop finish. The moutfheel is light and the drinkability is good. A nice version of the "Classic-Post-Prohibition-German/American-Lager" :-)
