Another version of Pillowhead Saison Series, with fluffy Belgian yeast, the finest Belgian malt, and added Tulsi to give it an earthy flavor. It pours a light orange color with some haze. This one has notes of coriander, white pepper, and clove.

Tulsi is a ruddy amber-orange with a foggy haze. A pure white, fine creamy head is only briefly meant for this world. Rapidly rising columns of delicate carbonation help to hold a fine veil on the surface of the beer. Each swirl of an Offero oversized wine glass pushes up a fine webbing of lace.
Earthy and musky, lavender dances with coriander and light funkiness. Some wet socks are in the background with buckwheat. A group of subtle elements, these work well together to form a strong, united, earthy aroma and light sourness. Swirling brightens the aroma.
There is a pleasant balance of light/sweet/sourness/bitterness that reveals itself with each sip in that order. Individual flavors follow the nose, while adding light citrus. The character is clearly Farmhouse style with light horse blanket notes. A long earthy and dry finish starts mild and sharp, then builds to a strong bluntness before the next sip. Acidity is light.
The body is medium to full, with a texture of combed wool that adds weight. Alcohol is as expected, as is the ample carbonation. The carbonation is more cleansing than scouring. Overall, the beer is very dry without causing a parched effect.
Tulsi is a relaxed and comfortable beer that also stimulates interest. I enjoyed it on a day off while listening to my wife playing harp. Oh, so refreshing, it pairs well with an aged Havarti.
