473 mL can from the brewery; coded Batch 282 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear, pale golden-yellow colour, fitted with an inch-thick cap of dense, foamy white head that melts away within a couple of minutes. Its remnants include a patchy cap and a thin collar, with impressive lace deposition after taking a sip or two. Light, grainy aroma with hints of cereal, lemon, grassy hay and spicy, floral hops.
Flavourful, but not what I'd call a traditional pilsner (Czech or otherwise). Grainy malts and bready sweetness come through early on, buoyed by notes of crisp apple and lemon. Grassy, floral hops assert themselves by mid-sip, becoming a dominant force thereafter; bitter finish, with bready malts and grassy, spicy hops that dissipate into a bone dry aftertaste. Light in body, with sharp carbonation that prickles the palate continuously throughout each sip; feels crisp on the tongue. Refreshing and quite drinkable, but lacking the finesse of a top-notch pils.
Final Grade: 3.7, a passable B grade. I'm not sure Czech pilsner is the correct classification for Mosey: the brewery doesn't specify what they were going for, but German pils seems like a closer fit, specifically the so-called Italian variant. That's mostly due to its assertive hop profile, which may catch some folks off-guard. In an unprecedented turn of events, I think I'd take Slake's regular craft lager (Easy Lager) over this pilsner - 99% of the time, it's the other way 'round, but this pils just didn't do it for me. That being said, it's still a decent lager that is worth trying for yourself.

Decent pilsner, was more refreshing cold, dry tasting and not so interesting as warmed. Tap at the source. COuld use a bit more body and taste, better with food.
