A Saison fermented in Ruby Port Barrels with one of our house mixed cultures. The young port barrels impart notes of black currant and fresh cherry drizzled over a dry finish, floral and just mildly tart base.

Always looking for innovation in beer making, brewers of The Big Friendly makes waves with a classic Belgian-styled farmhouse ale with a French twist.
Cloudy straw and billowing with a creamy white froth, Textured Fabric teases and taunts the nose with a bevy of orchard fruit, citrus, spice funk and fauna before leading with a light bready sweetness of wafer, dough and sugar cookie before evaporating from the palate with ease. A fruit forward balance of lemon, apple, pear and grape are ramped up by the port barrel fruitiness of sultan and sherry. A spice of peppercorn, vinous spice, soft oak tannins and a dash of cumin give the session balance and complexity.
Light in body, curious in flavor and bringing the bone dry finish for which the style is famed, The Big Friendly simply understands the assignment and with extra credit.
