Deep brown color with light passing through the edges. Moderate beige head that settles in a lumpy fashion. Medium sized spots and shorter streaks are left as the beer is consumed.
Roasted caramel aroma with a touch of chocolate. There's a touch of weak iron (metallic) in the background.
The body leans to the thin side, similar to Newcastle. High level of carbonation. The flavor features semisweet chocolate with very little chalk. The hop is quite pronounced providing a spicy finish with a well blended aftertaste.

Many thx to The_Kriek_Freak for this can, my fault for letting it sit this long in the fridge.
A - Dark brown pour with a slight bit of haze along with a dense toffee colored layer of creamy foam.
S - Toasted caramel with some light smokiness, nutty, and bready.
T - Toasted caramel, nutty, bready, light smokiness and a balanced bitter finish that lingers on the palate.
M - Medium body with light prickly carbonation.
O - Not a fan of this style but my mind is now changing. This is pretty good.

This is a deliciously balanced brown ale that showcases everything that the style requires. Nutty, bready, and just the right amount sweet, this beer can be just as easily be consumed with food as on its own.

Sampled this at the Toast of Philadelphia event and really liked it. Just the right amount of roasty malt to make a great fall beer. Wouldn't mind a bit more hops and body.

16 oz. can. Golden brown body with off-white head. Slight caramel smell. The flavor is all lightly roasted malt with some smokey bitterness lingering. At 5.7% it's an easy drinker and one that I'll definitely try again.

(12?oz draft pour in a basic, straight-sided tumbler at Solar Myth last night)
L: color is a textbook chestnut brown... poured to the rim with little foam; little lacing, if any
S: hints of toasted cookie, nutty chocolate, toasted brown sugars... edge on toasty-roasty malts with underlying grain aromas
T: overall relatively dry, with a toasty, mildly caramelized finish, carbonation enhancing the aromatic woody accents of the roasted grains... lightly bitter up the middle, subtly sweet on the bottom
F: served relatively effervescent... quick, slick, lighter-bodied... only a delicate expression of roundness at the outer perimeters of the palate
O: not bad... a textbook, serviceable American brown ale... could use a bit more hop presence and/or malt depth/contrast... I've seen this around town on tap a few times as of late; I'll try it again in a different setting (2102)

16 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Canned 11/16/21, so pretty old.
L---Rich, opaque brown color. Big, frothy, khaki head had great retention and left beautiful lacing.
S---Malty. Brown bread. Cocoa.
T---Roasty malts. Cocoa, which seems odd, but it tastes good, so what the hell. Coffee as it warms.
F---Medium bodied with decent carbonation.
O---A really nice one from a new local.

16 oz can, dated 11/16/21, didn't see the date until now, it's on the very edge. At least the bottleshop I bought from keeps all the beer cold.
pours a very dark brown, thick cream colored head. pretty good head retention. aroma and flavor is toasted malt, and a little roasty. fairly dry finish. medium bodied.

Pours a dark brown, nice color, with a slight bready aroma. A lot of flavor in there, lots of roast and malt, was surprised at how much. Maybe a little slight on the mouthfeel but not bad for a brown ale. Impressed at this initial offering from a new brewery.

From a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug the liquid poured. Its color is a beautiful bright dark brown that seems to split the middle between opaque and transparent. The head is a light biege, which unfortunately billowed out of control, despite a careful pour. Often that forewarns a lighter bodied beverage. On the positive side, it smells good, sort of like a freshly unwrapped good dark whole wheat bread. Yeah, the mouthfeel is a little light, but the flavor is satisfying. There's some roasted malt, bringing a very pleasant bittersweet complexity to the taste. There's also some hoppiness, more earthy than bitter and it becomes easy to forgive the lack of body. This is a very nice Brown Ale and it would be good to see more people try it.
