really solid. somewhere between a european pils type and an american corn lager, clean and crisp and fresh and nicely crafted, this is a massively beneficial addition to their lineup, a beer thats mindless and crushable but also very good, this sort of thing allows me to hang out here endlessly. its clear yellow from the tap, frothy white headed, real well carbonated (this has improved in all their beers lately), and looks as crisp as it drinks. its dry and the ferment is clean, slight european character to the yeast, but its minimal and out of the way. its traditionally hopped to me, but not overdone, just a quick snappy briskness on the swallow and maybe a faint grassy nuance, this is mostly defined by the grain and by the overall balance. i like that they used local pils malt, cool touch and a little terroir coming out, and the corn in the mash makes sense too, this sort of is a catch all for a number of different kinds of lager drinkers, a good call for a place like this. no real sweetness from the corn but i can taste what it adds, albeit subtly. crackery without being doughy from the pils malt, and incredibly clean. i wish they got their ales this dialed on the ferment. this seems very well lagered. the flavors are minimal but right on, the texture is ideal, and while some might find this a little boring, i find it a nice contrast to everything else on the menu. had three or four of these in no time, and will keep drinking this one as long as they keep it around. very well done local lager here, simple but in a good way. no frills.
