12oz can purchased at Oryana West. 4.9% ABV and canned on May 5, 2026 per the label.
Pours out to a slightly hazy very pale golden, forming a modest white head with poor retention and minimal lacing in my perfect pint glass despite a vigorous pour. The nose is nice with crackery pils malt, a soft sulfur note which I enjoy in German pils, and herbal german hops. There is a mild dog pee aroma which I have gotten sometimes with certain yeast strains. The mouthfeel is crisp, medium bodied and carbonation is 2.4 carbs or so. Taste starts out with a malty sweetness, hay, some nice spicy noble hops. The bitterness seems mild at first considering the malty sweetness up front, but then lingers and becomes a bit more balanced towards the end. Some nice grassiness towards the end. Finish is crisp and dry. No oxidation/DMS/Fusels/diacetyl.
A nice pils, although I would enjoy it more without the dog pee yeast note which thankfully dissipates towards the end of the glass. I'm curious what yeast was used here. I had a german pils on tap at Farm Club last summer which was absolutely fantastic and I'm always eager to try more brews from Corey, who does a really nice job.
Update. I had this on tap at farmhouse and there isn’t a dog pee nose. Really nice cracker/bread/hay pils malt flavor.
