Credible two finger head, bleached white, disappears at an extremely rapid pace, no lacing. Pale liquid with some filminess so more translucent than transparent. Sharp nose of fresh herbaceousness, unprocessed grains, kosher salt, minerally, hint of bubblegum, close to no fruit presence I can find. Medium-bodied, maintains what heft it has throughout. Carbonation likewise nothing of real note but a constant presence. Pretzel, quinine, leafy matter, tart and close to puckering. Maybe some pear, apple notes. Needs to stay close to ice cold to remain as refreshing as possible. Satisfactory. (Canned 8/15/23)

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours hazy, golden-straw color with a half finger of foamy, bright white head and spotty lacing. The nose is subdued but as it warms there are notes of earthy grains and a whiff of citrus. Its taste is spicy, herbal, and more bitter than I expected. There are hints of toasted bread and white wine grape but little sweetness. It finishes dry and decidedly bitter. It has a nice mouth feel: medium in body, smooth and crisp with an appropriate level of carbonation. At 5% it's readily drinkable. Overall, this Kolsch is earthy and bitter and a nice Spring beer. It has enough character to pair with fish, chicken or grilled sausage.
