Enter the dark place. We’re all freaks here. Savor the Dunkel with a strong malty backbone derived from Munich and Crystal malts balanced with German noble hops. Step inside, step inside.

Received two cans via IP trade from ATL6245 on 4-25-26. No canning date; reviewed 4-28-26. Cold stored since received.
Beer poured brown with a nice off-white head with the original pour.
Nose has notes of toasted malts, chocolate, and a hint of floral hops.
Taste is toasted bread, some chocolate with a touch of toffee up front. Back end is balanced nicely by the floral hops. Nice bready finish.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, it took for about 15 minutes at outdoor temps (65) to bring this out of its shell and it came out nicely!

I had this on location at round trip in the east Cobb avenue. I really love it. Nice and crisp but with that malt edge to it. Lots of malt and some nutty notes. Very dark amber color.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brown body with a slight garnet glint. Medium-sized, khaki-colored head.
Smell: Toasted breadcrust enveloped in an everso slight nuttiness and a rather subtle hint of dry toffee. With a touch of warmth, displays an equally light hint of unsweetened cocoa.
Taste: A full toasted breadcrust maltiness with a little background nuttiness and sweetness akin to a fast flash of toffee. Low herbal hop tone, lightly bitter, at best, leaving a semi-dry finish aided by a tiny touch of grain astringency. As with the aroma, as the beer comes up in temperature, you get a little bit of a chocolate/cocoa hint.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Decent, likable dunkel.

Appearance: Dark Saddle Brown, pours a thick off white mousse-like head with good retention.
Aroma; Bready and toasty malt, mild grassy hops
Flavor & Aftertaste: Bready, toasty with a little caramel and chocolate notes. Spicy. Very restrained bitterness.
Mouth-feel: Soft on the palate. Medium body, no astringency, drying. Low to medium carbonation.
Overall: Reviewed at same time as two imported Greman Dunkel. Dunkel Platz pours a nice mousse-like head with very good retention. It is shorter in length than the Germans. and not quite as thick. Aroma is malt forward with bready, toast and hint of caramel and some chocolate. There is also a very subtle herbal hops note. Flavor follows aromas. It has a slightly sweet impression at first but finish quite dry. Dunkel Platz has a drying finish. I like this Dunkel from Round Trip. It is easily drinkable. It's lighter (but not thin) mouth-feel actually makes it a bit more appealing for year around, since the Georgia climate is hot and humid most of the year. Easily drinkable in summer. This is an excellent Dunkel, the best made here in Georgia and one of the best around the country. I give it an A.
