Appearance: Dark Saddle Brown, pours a thick off white mousse-like head with good retention.
Aroma; Bready and toasty malt, mild grassy hops
Flavor: Nutty, chocolatey, and vanilla with subtle oak wood. Restrained bitterness.
Mouth-feel: Soft on the palate. Medium body, no astringency, drying. Low to medium carbonation.
Overall: You get the nutty, chocolately flavors of a Dunkel with an added vanilla and oak wood notes. Oak is more subtle. Not too much that it detracts from the Dunkel but enough to add a layer of interest. Old world feel to it.
