Pale burnished copper tone, thin layer of foam and spotty lace at the edges.
Mild birchwood smoke in the aroma, reminds me of a cool night around the campfire. More smoke in the taste, not overwhelming, balanced with an underlying malt base. Light bodied with supple carbonation and very dry from the Kveik yeast. The label text refers to the Swedish island of Gotland, it appears to be a riff on Gotlandsdricka.

Served from the bottle in a snifter.
My man VDubb hooked us up with a surprise goodie from his family trip over to Michigan. Good man. This stuff pours a partly cloudy sunset amber-copper topped by a small finger of dirty white foam. The nose comprises luscious smoked ham, light candied orange peel, light wet wheat. and a twist of lemon. The taste brings in more of the same, but the fruits (orange and lemon, mostly) take a much more vocal role here, crowding out my delicious smoke. The result is something of a minor mess, though the effect of grilled lemons in there is an interesting touch, it just doesn't make for the greatest of finishes. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slick feel. Overall, a welcome change of pace, but not something I would regularly gravitate toward.
