Poured from a Crowler into a shaker pint
Look: Hazy straw yellow with a thick white head. Nice frothy white head.
Smell: Black pepper, hay, bay leaf, menthol, clove, and brown rice crackers
Taste: Belgian sugar, clove, barnyard funk, hay and banana ont he attack. This mellows to a body of ancient grain bread with lemon curd. The finish is Belgian yeast spice with some more baking spices.
Feel: Quenching and clean. Nice medium body. A bit prickly on the palate. Clean carbonation. No acidity or bitterness.
Overall. A very nice saison. Brewed to fit the style of an easy yet complex summer drinker. Excellent work.
