really fantastic beer here, one of my favorites we had in here even though all of them were nice. this is a gose done with lime and coconut, and its nice on a number of levels. first, the sourness is super clean, no cheesy or sweaty weirdness to the lactic souring, and its cut off before this gets too sour to drink volumes of, so its both tidy and mild, perfect for refreshment. second, its super light, like the wheat malt base has some flavor but very little apparent body, and its bone dry. its got awesome carbonation too even though it doesnt hold a head long in the glass, and there is some almost rawness to the malt that grounds it without making it heavy. the final fermentation is also quite minimal, drying, and out of the way. finally, the fruity elements are great, neither overdosed and both quite natural. the lime hits first in nose and taste, and to me almost more of a kaffir lime leaf or a zested key lime (or both) than normal lime juice or anything, its so fragrant and almost perfumed, but then gone quick on the palate. no real pucker from it either which is probably good in a beer that is already tangy. the coconut is more prominent later, and seems more raw than toasted or sweetened or anything, right off the tree, makes this very tropical and it also sort of has a milky feel that balances the tartness. very cool beer overall, perfect for warm weather, majorly modern, and the packaging is rad. could have taken a little more salt being a gose and all, but whats here is nice and it dries this out and adds neat minerals at the end, but its subtle. really good!
