another funky looking miami vice style can, cool art and motif here for sure, all hyper modern and urban, and this is another good hoppy one, a hazy pale, the color is a note richer but it still looks light overall, high headed from the can and very bubbly. not overly hazy, not too starchy, just frosted over. the nose and taste show great balance, a mixed grain base that seems to have some dry wheaty character to it along with a pale two row complexion, nothing toasted or sweeter at all, a clean ferment overall, and a citrusy hop profile that hits on lemon and lime without being bitter at all or overly dry hopped to the point of oversaturation, its not mild either as pales go, just toned down a bit from their big ipa we had while we were in. the hops are fresh and kick off early, key lime meets lemongrass, green tea, and white grape, could be some galaxy hops in play, some citra too maybe, and then a little pineapple tropical note as it warms. the grain stays light, frothy in texture but not packing on the body, and the effervescent texture makes this refreshing and fast drinking. i like the low bitterness, keeps it in the pale range, but this is pretty dynamic beer for being as light overall as it is, the hops are distinct and clean, the grain supports them well, and this is probably the most refined beer we had from these guys in terms of fermentation. summery and drinkable, fans from styles ranging from american blonde to hazy double ipa should enjoy a can of this...
