On tap at brewery:
Medium to deep amber with a promise of a head that likes to be a medium ring. Being just tapped the day before, the hops have a pop that lifts them above the medium toast of the malt with a bit of a spicy aroma. Muted pine and tropical fruit skin on the nose, the hops provide a pine and pith bitter taste against a sweet melanoidin malt backbone. I sense the potential of this really needing the freshness my timing gives to keep the PNW IPA vibe going, but I have to judge what’s in my glass quite favorably.
