Stopped in to check out Idaho's newest "brewery". Clean and tidy, shabby industrial chic. Sheet metal, etc. High and low tables, a few TVs. Football seemed to be the draw here on a a Sunday. Service was good, but they're still getting the kinks worked out. Got one to go. Beer needs work..

this little area on chinden is really becoming the brewery district, great to have new players coming into the game. this is a great space, not sure what was here before, but its wide open inside, with a long bar running the length of the place, outside seating both in front and out back, and while a little heavy on the military veteran vibe, its a comfortable spot. i dont think they produce their own wort here, ive actually heard it comes from germany, not sure the deal there, but i did see fermenters, so i know its being at least fermented here. an interesting concept for sure, but maybe there is some advantage of this. anyway, they had a pretty impressive beer list, more than a dozen or so on tap, some creative stuff too. i had a lackluster doppelbock, a better pumpkin ale, and an apple spice hefe i couldnt tell if i liked or not because the bartender spiked it with cranberry or cherry cider for some reason before serving it to me. clever ideas in here for sure, execution still seems a little on the amateur side, but it was intriguing enough to go back for more. service was just okay, took a long time to get a beer for how quiet it was when i was in, when i finally talked to the kid he was nice, shared some samples and stuff, but it could have been a bit more responsive. i think in some ways they are still figuring it out here, their beer doesnt put them in the upper level of local quality yet, but its a fun spot and im sure a place that will do well. the food also looked like a good draw, ill hit that up next time in! i am curious to see where they go from here, worth checking out at this point...

Sleek newish looking brewpub in a small strip shopping center on the main drag. Large spacious taproom with long P-shaped bar on the left hand wall with numerous table about the room, and small patio out back. Very industrial chic interior. A dozen or so beers on tap, the 2 I had were solid. I also had the elote appetizer which was very nice. Efficient service. Great place for a bite and a brew.
