From the cask, drawn at Stratford's Tap East.
A pretty Looking Blonde, sufficient foam and lace; albeit a bit of dishwater colouring. Smells are mostly malt. Bitter hops enter mid-palate and stay without growing much in the finish. Medium-mouthed in a light style and soft.
Utopian Brewery has big goals to be a pioneer in sustainable brewing. As a youngster (perhaps three years old), they won two awards; so the quality is there also. They specialise in English lagers (although seem to make good ales also.) They are branching out into hospitality by opening two pubs. And they do all this from a remote part of southwest England. For all that, I give them very good Overall Hugs and look forward to trying their lager.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
