An Imperial Milk Stout infused with a robust dosage of fresh vanilla and more than eight pounds per barrel of glorious hand-toasted coconut. Inspired by ‘Planet Caravan’ – the moody cosmic ballad by the iconic Black Sabbath – Black Night Sighs is a beer built for floating through the darkest and most endless galaxies of the universal expanse.

I bought this at The Beer Temple. But, I'm not blaming them.
I'm not keen on being the first reviewer of a milk stout (probably in the middle third of styles I drink enough to be a good judge) brewed by a six month old brewery (too young to have their ventures critiqued candidly) when the brewer really only seems to know IPAs enough to make it in the marketplace. To conclude that prelude, I'm an old man and I'm not impressed by high ABV... as too often it conceals brewer guesses.
Briefer, this is too ambitious a beer for Hidden Hand to can. (Incidentally, the can is the best part of this experience.) Primarily, there is something strongly artificial about Sighs; mostly this is in the after-taste... but the aromas warn me also as does the attack. I will be very unhappy with myself if I drink more than a third of this beer.
On the plus side to encourage young brewers, I suppose I could revisit Hidden Hand in a few years after they have matured.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
